Born in Cuba, Llaneza immigrated to the United States at an early age. She lived in several countries but spent her childhood and adolescent years in the Dominican Republic.

There, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. In 1984, she moved permanently to Miami and graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with a degree in Visual Arts and Art History. For the past 35 years, Llaneza has been involved in the contemporary art world. Following an eight-year tenure ending in mid-2013 as Executive Director of Hardcore Art Contemporary Space in the Wynwood Arts District, she served as curator for MAC Galleries in Fort Lauderdale for three years and later as director at Spanierman Modern Miami. Rochi now works independently as an art consultant, curator, and art appraiser.

She is an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers and USPAP compliant.
